In May of 2011 I went to photograph the old Del Mar lifeguard headquarters building as I knew it was about to be torn down. When one of the lifeguards spotted me they invited me in so I could also take this shot from inside with the large binoculars. One of the lifeguards told me these very strong binoculars came from a navy ship and has saved many lives over the years in Del Mar, California.
This image is available in an open edition at 12x18 inches and smaller. There are 3 size-limited editions: 16x24 inches (total of 30), 24x36 inches (total of 20) and a total of 10 in arbitrary sizes.
