I love the look of large colliding ocean waves. This happens when waves reflect off bluffs or cliffs and run into another incoming wave.
It inspired me to create this oil painting in which I incorporated colliding reflecting waves, plus some waves hitting the bluffs leading to lots of spray flying around. This painting depicts the view from Terra Mar Point looking south. More or less in the middle is "The dip" with lifeguard tower 28 at North Ponto Beach. All the way to the right in the far distance is Swami's Point in Encinitas.
Unframed it measures 72 inches wide and 30 inches tall. Framed in a barn wood floater frame 74 inches wide and 32 inches tall.
