Leucadia - A Shore Bet

from $150.00

A collage of nine Leucadia photographs, in an open edition.

From top left to bottom right we have:

1) The coast of Leucadia, between Beacons and Grandview on a foggy morning, shot with my drone
2) Beacons Beach with the path leading down the bluffs
3) The old Encinitas Train Depot, which now houses Pannikin Coffee and Tea. The train depot was built in 1887, modeled after the Carlsbad train depot which was built about a year before. It was initially located near the current Encinitas train station, but moved to Leucadia in the early 1970’s
4) Trees lining the Pacific Coast Highway 101 (and a first generation VW bus from 1950’s)
5) The Leucadia sign at the border with Carlsbad
6) The Leucadia post office, built in 1956 at the corner of Hwy 101 and Phoebe St
7) The wooden stairs at Grandview Beach
8) Pelicans “riding” a wave, shot with my drone during a king tide
9) Stonesteps beach at South El Portal St and Neptune Ave.

The dividing lines between the photos are wooden stairs from San Elijo State Beach shot from above, with the pentagonal platforms at the cross-sections.

When ordered framed, it will have default a barnwood frame. Please contact me through email or phone if you're interested in something different (different frame, type of paper, size, etc) than those listed here.
